Frequently Asked Questions
Have a question? Chances are we may have answered it below. If not feel free to contact us for more information.
Where do your crabs come from?
The majority of our crabs from a crab dock we own in New Orleans, LA. We also buy some Maryland Crabs from trusted docks in Maryland. Louisiana crabs come all year 'round which is why we are able to sell steamed crabs all year long. We sell Maryland crabs when they are in season and when we feel their quality is best - usually May - October.
Is there a difference in Maryland and Louisiana Blue Crabs?
Other than an accent, nope! Okay, sorry that was a crab joke. The Maryland and Louisiana Blue Crabs are the same, but because of warmer weather Louisiana Blue Crabs are around all year long while Maryland Crabs are only available in season.

UPS Shipping Options
UPS Ground
A budget-friendly choice that uses the UPS ground network. While this option doesn’t include a guaranteed delivery time, we currently offer it only in select regional areas where UPS typically delivers within 1–2 days.
Most Ground shipments are packed with dry ice to keep your order cold during transit.
We plan to expand this option as we continue to test new routes.

Most 2nd Day Air packages include dry ice to ensure your seafood arrives perfectly chilled.
UPS Next Day Air
Our fastest delivery option! Most residential addresses can expect delivery by 12:00 PM (noon) the next business day.
Perfect for last-minute orders or special occasions.
UPS Next Day Air Saver
A slightly more economical next-day option. Your package will still arrive the next business day, typically by the end of the day.

When Should I Order My Crabs or Crab Cakes?
Planning an event?
You can schedule your order days or even weeks in advance using our delivery date calendar at checkout.
If your seafood is an important part of your event, we recommend choosing a delivery date one day earlier than needed—just in case of unexpected UPS delays due to weather or mechanical issues. Crabs and crab cakes can be refrigerated for up to 3 days.
Craving crab cakes at the last minute?

How to Reheat Steamed Crabs
Method 1: Stovetop (Steaming)
- Set up your steamer: Add about an inch of water to a large pot with a rack or basket on top—keep it above the waterline.
- Bring to a boil: Heat the water over medium-high.
- Add the crabs: Place your steamed blue crabs in the basket. A few layers are fine, just don’t overcrowd.
- Steam: Cover and heat for 5–10 minutes, until hot all the way through. Don’t over-steam—too much heat can dry out the meat.
- Serve hot: Carefully remove and enjoy right away with your favorite dipping sauce.
Method 2: Oven Reheat
- Preheat to 350°F.
- Prep the crabs: Place them in a baking dish and cover with foil.
- Add moisture: Splash a little water in the dish to keep them juicy.
- Bake: Heat for about 10 minutes, or until warmed through.
- Serve and enjoy.
Pro Tip: Don’t overheat—crab meat is best when it’s just warmed through. These methods will keep it moist, sweet, and flavorful, just like when it left our steamer.
Extra Pro Tip: Steamed Crabs are great cold as well!!
